| ArchPlan
provides comprehensive solutions integrating
the many aspects of architecture, planning, design, and
construction that tend to become
fragmented in the hands of narrowly defined experts. Our
holistic approach brings about
fresh and creative yet pragmatic solutions, which we
develop in close coordination with
the client. ArchPlan Inc., Philipsen
Architects was founded in 1992 by Klaus
Philipsen, AIA
as a design firm with the versatility to address the
needs of various clients who seek
immediate response, attention by an experienced
principal, and flexibility in the approach
to design, construction, and planning problems.
ArchPlans
principal and staff form a dynamic team with many years
of experience as architects and
project managers in a multitude of projects ranging from
residential to industrial and
commercial, from feasibility studies to transportation
design, from small interior
projects to major projects with multi million dollar
construction budgets. ArchPlan has
received design awards and has gained special
recognition in rehabilitation, adaptive
reuse, revitalization, brownfield-, infill- and transit
oriented development, and historic
preservation.
Mr.
Philipsen has worked in England, Germany and the United
States. He has devoted his career
to making the built environment a better place in which
to live, to work and travel. Mr.
Philipsen and his staff work in numerous volunteer
organizations and capacities to retain
the livability of our cities and arrive at
environmentally conscious solutions for
building, urban design, planning and transportation
problems. ArchPlan
principal and staff have LEED accredited professional status.
ArchPlan's
commitment to community-based planning has led to the
development of participation
techniques, work in advisory committees, and the
organization of charrettes, community
workshops, and town meetings. |
