ArchPlan offers clients a comprehensive approach to design in a profession which often has become fragmented by narrow fields of expertise. Beginning with the needs of the stakeholders and integrating the big picture of all disciplines involved we offer integrated and holistic design and problem solving services from programming and feasibility to code analysis, construction documents, detailing and specifications to post construction evaluation. By offering urban design, planning and architecture not as separate entities but complementary fields we bring about creative, environmentally sensitive, cost effective and realistic "win-win" solutions. ArchPlan Inc., Philipsen Architects was founded 1992 by Klaus Philipsen, AIA as a design firm with the versatility to address the needs of various clients who seek immediate response, attention by an experienced principal, and flexibility in the approach to design, construction and planning problems. ArchPlan's offices are located in Catonsville and in downtown Baltimore. ArchPlan's clients include for profit and non-profit organizations, businesses, government agencies and private owners. ArchPlan's principal and staff form a dynamic team with many years of experience as architects and project managers in a multitude of projects ranging from residential to industrial and commercial, from feasibility studies to urban design, from small interior projects to major projects with multimillion dollar construction budgets. ArchPlan has received design awards and has gained special recognition in rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, revitalization, and transit projects. ArchPlan's principal and staff are LEED-accredited. Our range of project experience is particularly suited for open ended on-call type contracts.
